Brisbane Baylands: Planning Commission (Aug 13, 2026) backs Final EIR and 2026 Specific Plan; City Council to decide early Fall 2026
On Aug. 13, 2026 the Brisbane Planning Commission voted 5–0 to recommend that City Council certify the Baylands Final EIR (published May 14, 2026) and adopt the staff‑recommended 2026 Baylands Specific Plan with modifications. City Council deliberations and final decisions are the next formal step, expected in early Fall 2026. The Baylands is a ~680‑acre, long‑duration redevelopment that would materially affect Peninsula commercial supply, housing capacity, and regional infrastructure.
